You don’t have health care insurance…
You’re not alone. It is estimated that there are over 400,000 people in the KC area presently without health insurance, and 320,000 of them have jobs but cannot afford the premiums.
Rather than paying the outrageous cost of healthcare insurance, we at Healthcare Cost Revolution, (HCCR) know a far less expensive alternative. We call it the “pay-as-you go” plan. As a member of our $100 a year plan—which we’re introducing at only $30–you’ll be paying only for the healthcare you receive at the time your receive it, and you won’t be paying the high rates healthcare providers normally charge those without insurance. Our members pay no more than an insurance company reimburses our healthcare providers for the same services. Our HCCR members will also have access to the prices for any and every healthcare service a provider might perform prior to, or after seeing the doctor.
As far as prescriptions are concerned, HCCR has partnered with 8 pharmacies around the KC metro area to fill HCCR member’s prescriptions. Any HCCR member presenting his or her membership card at our partner pharmacy locations will, of course, have access to the full array for $4 generic prescriptions; or $12 for a 90-day supply. In addition to that, any generic drug not on the $4-list, as well as name-brand drugs will be sold to HCCR members at the guaranteed price of Medicaid reimbursement for the prescription. So the price an HCCR member pays is the lowest price at which the drug will be sold, and our members don’t have to pay insurance premiums to get these prices. The list of pharmacies will be found in the “members,” area of our web site.
Watch closely and you’ll discover that what our HCCR members spend a year on healthcare probably won’t amount to 10% of the cost of 12 months of healthcare insurance premiums.
We admit that there is still the real possibility of accidents and very serious illnesses that the average person cannot afford. Don’t be alarmed; these catastrophic events don’t happen nearly as often as the insurance industry would have you believe. We at HCCR understand the need for coverage on such matters, and we are working on that now.
Until then, it’s time for you to get as healthy as you can, lose any excess weight, quit or at least curtail smoking and drinking, and exercise. Let the people with health insurance finance the treatment and prescriptions for all preventable ailments. You’re going to feel and live better, and chances are that you’re going to spend around 10% of what you would spend on insurance for identical care.
